Bronze Age Ancient Armenian Artifacts
Extremely Rare!
These artifacts were discovered in turn-of-the-century excavations near Razdan, Armenia. They have been determined by specialists to date from circa 1,000 BC, and belonged to the tribes that eventually formed the Armenian nation.

Early Armenia, c. 1000 BC. Ceramic single-handled pot or large cup. Lovely form with gracefully curved body and single ring handle. Nice burnished black/brown surfaces. L: 15 cm (6 inches); H: 8.5 cm (3 1/2 inches). Intact minus some rim chips common for pieces of this age. ex- Sartie Antiques, Amsterdam, Netherlands, purchased as part of an an old Duch private collection, acquired in the 1970s. #AP2282: $475 SOLD

The lower portion shows use from being cooked with/burned in antiquity, now with nice black coloration. Early Armenia, c. 1000 BC. Fantastic large ceramic pot. Nice round thumb-handle on rim, great design of multiple incised ridges around upper body. Black color indicates it was probably burned in antiquity. Intact except for a small hairline age crack on one edge. 155 mm (6 1/4") wide and 97 mm (3 3/4") tall. A beautiful piece!
